OUT OF ORDER

Thursday, September 25, 2008 @ 8:21 pm.

So today Charlotte suddenly went up to the front of the class and said "Okay, this is Shannon's idea..."

And that was to hide under the tables when Lao Shi came in in an attempt to convince her that the classroom was out of order.

It didn't work, of course. She wasn't even enthusiastic about it. But that's her.

So after recess, when Miss Ng came in (after a false alarm), we all hid under our tables again and started shaking them like it was an earthquake.

(I heard Yan Yee or someone say "Hi, Miss Ng!")

And Miss Ng played along. So we were all hanging around under our tables (except Rachew and Yun Hua who I could see were already sitting up) and having this long discussion with Miss Ng about earthquakes. You can read about it on Carmen's blog.

So after IT, we ran back to class and prepared to do it on Mrs Ng (which Miss Ng instigated). Some people like Liz Chan were having bad feelings about it (which is completely justified, really). So we were debating between doing it, doing it and not shaking the tables, doing nothing, and doing the Kallang Wave.

But when Mrs Ng came in, we all dove under our tables.

Sadly, we did not outtrick her. She could hear everything from outside.

When Miss Ng came in later with a bunch of LA notes, she was standing back and reading the History powerpoint FOCUS slide. This was the point where we decided to reveal her involvement in the prank. (Charlotte pointed out the fingerprint Miss Ng left on the board)

The whole class cheered.

Charlotte: We must not cheer!
Class: -silent-
Charlotte: Because then we will be Teletubbies.
Class: -resounding laughter-

I don't think the OUT OF ORDER elevator has been erased off the whiteboard yet. The only person we'll have the chance to do it on tomorrow is Mrs Hor. And I don't even know if we'll do it.
