Sad

Thursday, October 23, 2008 @ 7:42 pm.

The happiness of a last day of school has diminished over the years.
I'm happy, yeah.
But sad. I'm going to miss you all.
Goodbye, Rachew. We'll never forget you.

So anyway, this year's games for funfair were a disappointment for me. Except for the toilet seat one, even though I didn't play that. I can't comment on the Haunted Epocalypse Theatre, because we spent an hour queuing and we still were only halfway along the length of the dance studio (the end of the queue was at the last door of the dance studio).

I stayed in class to do notes for everybody, then stopped at register number fourteen to accompany Zhi down for the funfair. We were trying to find Rachew and eating Mini Melts (we had to distract her and bring her back up at 11 30), then she suddenly walked up right behind us and asked us what we were doing. Then we went to get pasta and coney dogs, then I got a packet of Milo (vending machine; forty cents cheaper!) and Zhi got Yeo's tea, then Jelly came along just as we (technically, Rachew started it, but it was the singing that triggered that) decided to form a story out of songs. It goes something like this:

I like big butts and I can not lie
You other brothers can't deny
That when a girl walks in with an itty bitty waist
And a round thing in your face
You get (sprung) --
Stop and stare
I think I'm moving but I go nowhere
What's your name
What's your name
Oh I really wanna know
You got me going crazy
And I want you more and more
Oh hey this could be something real
I gotta let you know the way I feel
Everywhere we go (everywhere we go)
People want to know (people want to know)
Who we are (who we are)
Where we come from (where we come from)
So we tell them (so we tell them)
Fly me to the moon
Let me play among the stars
Let me see what spring is like
On Jupiter and Mars ...
In other words, please be true
In other words, I love you
I’m bringing sexy back
Them other boys don’t know how to act
I think you're special, what's behind your back?
So turn around and I'll pick up the slack.
Hey, hey.
You, you.
I don’t like your girlfriend.
No way, no way.
I think you need a new one.
Promiscuous girl
Wherever you are
I’m all alone
And it's you that I want
It's too late to apologize, it's too late
I said it's too late to apologize, it's too late
What I’ve done
I'll face myself
To cross out what i’ve become
Erase myself
And let go of what i’ve done

Uh, yeah.

So after that, we went to walk around the dunking booth after I pre-ordered my ALOUD! CD, and we watched Miss Su get dunked etc. This is about the time when we lost and found each other (except for Zhi Lin, who remained missing). Then we went and queued up for the Haunted House.

And kept queuing.

Finally at 11 35, we ran out and convinced Rachew to go back to class with us (she wanted to go to the canteen and eat something) so we pulled her and ran and things like that. Then we went in and it was so calm that I thought maybe they weren't finished yet...

And then Glenda pulled up the screen and revealed the banner. Yay! So we had cake and Ruffles and Doritos while I finished my notes, and then we went and took class pictures outside. (Thanks Miss Ng for the bunny pen!) After that, we had this farewell programme. As it turned out, everyone else from 2G was upstairs while we were downstairs, and apparently Shannon, who went up to get them, STAYED up there with them. So the four of us were all alone.

Then I went to the staff room to claim my (signed!) picture from Miss Ng, hung around with Rachew, Huiling, Sheralyn and everyone outside the staff room for a moment, and left.

Thanks Colette for the Pepsi!

Ow.

Sunday, October 19, 2008 @ 9:15 pm.

The ulcers are back. Great.

They're both on the right side this time: One between the two back molars, top and bottom; and one inside of the lower lip. The one on the lip's not that painful, but I keep biting on the one between the molars and it HURTS

So. SYF auditions are on Wednesday.

There are 13 sentences in the monologue in Section A that I'm probably going to do, and there are 29 or so in the one from Section B. I'm doing the longer one in Section B because:
1. I wouldn't be able to pull off the divorce one in Section A, which is the only dramatic one there. Since I have to do one dramatic and one comedic one, one from each section, I have to take the dramatic one from Section B.
2. I wouldn't be able to pull off the comedic one in Section B; I'd fall flat.

I'm doing the one in Section A not because it's shorter, but because I can't do telephone calls. Neither do I see how "Sickness!!!" equates to an exclamation of joy.

So yeah.
Hopefully I can pull it off even if my ulcers haven't cleared up.

Trying to Beat the Mines

Friday, October 17, 2008 @ 3:17 pm.

25th game lost since I started last night: 62 mines left.
26th: 89 mines
27th: 38 mines
28th: Forfeited
29th: 52 mines left, because I got stuck so I clicked somewhere else randomly to see if I'd get anything but I clicked a mine instead.
30th: 54 mines. 457 seconds wasted.

Agh.

Never mind.

Awayyyyeeayyeaayeaayeeayay

@ 3:08 pm.

I heard Crush by David Archuleta on the radio this morning.

That song is following me around.

Mark-sheets back today:
5 A1s, 1 A2, 1 B3, 1 B4.

If only they gave out subject prizes! Then I could at least get one for Geography... hehe

But if it's combined... then yeah.
So.

Last night my Internet screwed up, so after finally getting through Intermediate Minesweeper multiple times, I started on Expert.

I've played 20 games so far and I still haven't won. Guess I've got a lot of work to do.

Carolyn, I can't post on your Cbox

Thursday, October 16, 2008 @ 5:44 pm.

But I was going to say "As in you were going to CRUSH THEM and I wasn't really expecting anything ^^"

So godspeed and all the best for your trip. I'll be praying for you.

[So, the last of the results, the last of which I really need to get to terms with so...]

Geography
Section A: 14/15
Section B: 18/25
Section C: 47/60
Total: 79/100

Literature
Poem: 20/25
R&J: 16/25, which is a b***** disappointment
Total: 72/100
And, just like that, I miss another A1 <.>
Well, never mind.
Should be happy that Mrs Thomsett only requested B3 for Literature.

[I changed my mind. CBOX itself is not working.]

So, my proposed subject combination is like this:
Languages: English and Higher Chinese
Mathematics: E Math and A Math
Sciences: Biology, Chemistry, Physics
Combined Humanities: Social Studies and History Elective
Full Humanities: Literature

Yes, after weeks of fretting, pondering, and contemplating, I have decided on History. I'll need to discuss it with my parents one more time though.

20th Century World History = cool. Even though the first unit on that is non-examinable.

Oh yes, Inter-House Games!
I am glad to say that I played in every single game (as in, I didn't sit out), and I caught more than one frisbee (and missed a few), and caught at least two goals (and missed a few).

And in the end, Olson Team 1 scored a lose (to Lee), win (to Blackmore), and draw (nearly!to Jackson).

I can't help thinking that if we had won, Jackson wouldn't be in the finals; They'd have six points and we'd have seven.

Hmm, never mind. I don't think I'd have wanted to play in the finals... but it would be against Olson 2 so there would be less pressure. But I don't really know how it works... so I don't know if another Team 2 would play against them instead...

Ah, never mind.

I may join basketball in the sports complex at recess... maybe. What are we doing tomorrow again?

EDIT: EVERYONE is listening to Crush by David Archuleta nowadays. I think I'm going to start switching to David Cook's Light On, just for a change. It's a totally different style, though.

Inspired by Carolyn's blog,

Tuesday, October 14, 2008 @ 10:34 pm.

I decided to look up Crush by David Archuleta on YouTube. I've heard it on the radio before. It's really nice.

I hung up the phone tonight
Something happened for the first time
Deep inside
It was a rush
What a rush
'Cause the possibility
That you would ever feel the same way
About me
It's just too much
Just too much

Why do I keep running from the truth
All I ever think about is you
You got me hypnotized
So mesmerized
And I've just got to know

Do you ever think
When you're all alone
All that we could be
Where this thing could go
Am I crazy or falling in love
Is it real or just another crush
Do you catch a breath
When I look at you
Are you holding back
Like the way I do
'Cause I'm trying, trying to walk away
But I know this crush ain't going
Away
Going away

Has it ever crossed your mind
When we're hanging,
Spending time, girl, are we just friends
Is there more
Is there more
See it's a chance we've gotta take
'Cause I believe that we can make this
Into something that'll last
Last forever
Forever

Why do I keep running from the truth
(Why do I keep running)
All I ever think about is you
(All I ever think about)
You got me hypnotized
(Hypnotized)
So mesmerized
(mesmerized)
And I've just got to know

Going away
Going away

You know, we don't have any class time after Wednesday.

Looking at the schedule, we are almost never in class except for
- report books and marksheets
- Maths field testing
- the housekeeping period at the end of the last day

And that's it.

We had better spend the most time we can together during the funfair.

OKAY. INTER-HOUSE GAMES TOMORROW. HOPEFULLY I REMEMBER HOW TO CATCH A FRISBEE. I DON'T WANT TO DROP IT.

-feels like rummaging around the house for frisbee- Anyone want to come down to the netball courts or something and practice?

I wish there was more dimension to a student's life than academics.

I know there's CCA and everything... but studies take the most priority, don't they?

Can't there be an option where studies isn't all that matters?

About

Sunday, October 12, 2008 @ 7:03 pm.

I read Carolyn's post on her blog about bible study and cell groups.

I'm trying so hard to get myself into one of those fellowships.
I used to be in one, but my family lives so far away from church that I could never get there in time.
And in the end, I just faded away. I didn't fit in any more.

Idonotlikemychurch

A quote:

"Why are you sitting here all alone?"
"Because they say misery loves company and I don't want to be miserable anymore."

Worn out

@ 6:43 pm.

So I visited my mentor yesterday. It was hard to be nervous because he was rocking his baby daughter around while talking. I plan to do a Sci-Fi piece, which means a lot of work, but that's the entire point - I NEED TO DO SOMETHING.

After that I came home and found everyone's (my sister's) bags all over the house and Boogie still on because my sister was having a belated birthday barbecue. So we ate (remind me NEVER to put full-body pictures on one's cake because people will start freaking out when you poke candles into their faces) and went swimming in the night, which was really really fun, except that now my legs are dry and itchy from the chlorine.

And today I went to church, Pizza Hut, slept, plonked away, took a bath, and now I'm sitting here under the pretext of being

1. Mentally worn out
2. Stoning silently
3. Papers come back tomorrow so I need to be mentally prepared.

I think the post-exam periods are more enriching than the pre-exam periods (e.g. obvious questions like What do people e.g. Rachew do after the exams? Go out. or Have I really built up a spice tolerance yet? No, but I can still eat it. or Does chlorine still make my skin dry? Yes.) in a way, because the things you learn are definitely OUTSIDE THE CURRICULUM.

Aaaaaah, I'm so tired. I wanna sleep. But I haven't eaten dinner yet.

Self-consciousness is my Achilles' Heel.

IT IS OVER

Thursday, October 09, 2008 @ 6:31 pm.

FREEDOM

Carolyn's right, it's not exactly adrenaline, excitement and glee.

It's relieving and placid.

I was planning to scream, but in the end, nobody did.
The only time I've ever actually screamed in relief was during Drama Night.

---

Things I Plan to Do During the Post-Exam Period

1. Play Wii Boogie (my father bought a new Wii game)
2. Eat pizza (Pizza Hut?)
3. Do NaNoWriMo (Diana's doing it too! Yay!)
4. Sleep.
5. etc.
6. I'll have to think about more.

---

Oh, you know what I'll just post later.

EDIT: Oh yeah, I just finished The Host by Stephenie Meyer

Oh yeah again

Wednesday, October 08, 2008 @ 8:44 pm.

I was supposed to talk about the paper today. (Math Paper 2)

In my opinion, it was MUCH easier than Paper 1. It always ends up like that, you know. For me. I don't know why.

EXCEPT that I got the Pythagoras' Theorem question wrong. A moment of blurriness, perhaps?

After that I didn't discuss the paper anymore.

BUT I labelled my graphs! Yay! I was practicing them all last night and somehow I didn't label them, but today I did.

1754 words done; I've only added one paragraph in. Anyway...

LASTDAYTOMORROWLASTDAYTOMORROWTHANKGODIT'SGONNABEOVER

Ha!

@ 4:49 pm.

In no less than half an hour since I wrote my previous post, I have written 1074 words of plotting.

EDIT: 1376!

EDIT: It's 17 10h, and I have written 1675 words. Target for each day is supposed to be about 1667 words. Weehee. But this is plotting, not a narrative yet, so no one knows what will go on ;D

More NaNo

@ 4:19 pm.

My sister's writing fantasy.

Jelly's writing Battle Royale.

I'm writing science fiction.

I would create another blog for NaNo and things like that if I didn't like this blog so much and wanted to increase my post count.

EDIT: Jelly's now doing sci-fi-fantasy.

CALLING ALL PEOPLE

@ 3:46 pm.

In short, this post is basically: "Does anyone want to do NaNoWriMo with me?"

Because I am super hyped.

I have signed up and gotten my sister and Jelly to do it with me. I think I've said this before. But do you wanna do it too?

I know it's a 50,000 word novel in November, and I know you need to write approx 1,667 words a day.

But, you can make it 50,000 words of C*** as it is. And November IS a holiday, unlike the thousands of people around the world doing a NaNo that still have school during that time. Also, how many words do you usually write for your lit essays in one hour and forty minutes? Two hundred? Five hundred?

So if you don't have anything on during November, go ahead and type up a novel of literary abandon. Frankly, you don't really need a plot, a setting, characters, good writing skills (technically, if you can blog, you can write, can't you?) THAT much. There are a lot of people that just start without.

What you need is a certain drive, and that's to finish your novel under a certain deadline.

And maybe compete against your friends. That's part of why I"m writing this post... but the main reason it's that it's really fun to go at it in a group.

You don't need to go for 50k, you can go for 20k, or 10k, or 1,000... whatever.

So yeah. I don't really have a proper ending. Again. But go ahead and consider it ^^.

NaNoWriMo

Tuesday, October 07, 2008 @ 4:51 pm.

OH I WANT TO WRITE A NOVEL THIS YEAR

The National Novel Writing Month is an online competition, where the goal is to write 50,000 words in 30 days, namely from the 1st to the 30th of November.

Apparently, this is one of the best NaNoing years yet.

1. November 1st is a Saturday
2. November 30th is in the weekend.
3. There are five weekends in November
4. Exams will be long over.
5. From November 21st to 24th or so I'll be holed up in a chalet with my laptop with no Internet, so...
6. November 25th, the first day for 50k word submissions, is my birthday. More motivation~
7. I could get my friends/sister to do it with me.

However,

1. No telling how much holiday homework there will be.
2. Mentorship commitments.
3. I may end up being even more busy during the chalet period... but I COULD clock how long I usually take to write 1,667 words and set aside that time at night or something. ^^
4. I have no ideas.

The cons don't seem like a lot, but the

UPDATE: My sister and Jelly are considering doing NaNo this year. Jelly suggested I do the NaNo novel for mentorship. Hmm...

Cake

@ 4:29 pm.

UPDATE: Audrey's been relinked! I can't really view her blog, but being the obsessive little template-updater I am, I relinked. So yeah.

I'm eating the last bit of my sister's birthday cake. It's really good. Also musing about the Physics and Maths papers and about what mistakes I made...

Ah, it's no good to cry over spilt milk when there's still more left to spill.

Sexual Education in the Past.

The Story of Menstruation (Walt Disney): Sex Education in 1946. Interestingly they don't mention the sperm at all, and just say that the egg is "impregnated" when "the woman is going to have a child".

"But it comes in handy when you have to plan ahead" - regarding keeping a regular calendar

Wahahaha.

"It's going to extremes that's wrong and should be avoided."

"some... have a bit less pep" - regarding PMS

"one way to help [the organs]... is avoid constipation"

"Presented with the compliments of Kimberly Clark, makers of Kotex Products."

"Puberty, What's That?" Remix of old sex education films.

"And the whole organ is extended... or erect" - regarding male sexual excitement

Spoof.

I really wish I had watched all this BEFORE the Biology exam.

Dum de dum dum

@ 4:49 pm.

When I am down and, oh my soul, so weary;
When troubles come and my heart burdened be;
Then, I am still and wait here in the silence,
Until you come and sit awhile with me.

You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up: To more than I can be.

You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up: To more than I can be.

There is no life - no life without its hunger;
Each restless heart beats so imperfectly;
But when you come and I am filled with wonder,
Sometimes, I think I glimpse eternity.

You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up: To more than I can be.

You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up: To more than I can be.

I think you can guess what song that is.
Anyway. I guess I have to talk about the papers today.

Lit was unbearably easy. When I say unbearably easy, I mean UNBEARABLY easy. The questions were so unbelievably straightforward. Last year's were better, where you could support your opinion on something instead of state the obvious.

So I chose the one closest to "opinion"; the one on fate.

Even so, you can't really tell. Was it Romeo's fault that he went to seek revenge by killing Tybalt? Or was it because Tybalt JUST HAPPENED to be walking by? Was it their ancestors' fault for starting the feud? Or was it because they JUST HAPPENED to come across each other?

It could go on forever. If the world wasn't created, then none of this would have happened anyway.

Thanks for all the prayers for my sister =D. She took her E Math paper, came home, and slept until about 16 30h.

Oh yeah

Saturday, October 04, 2008 @ 3:35 pm.

I forgot to talk about the tests yesterday.

1. LA Paper 2

Well, I finished with quite a lot of time to spare, but I have no idea how I'll do, so I'm not going to talk about that.

2. GEOGRAPHY

I finished the entire paper.

That's an achievement! As was finishing History. I don't think I've ever not finished a paper, though.

Even though by the last question for both, I was holding my right arm with my left hand for support. For both also, I slowed down by the time I was writing my last line because I had 3 - 5 minutes left for each.

I didn't check my MCQ at all. Also, the SBC MCQ is the same as mainstream MCQ, which is why it was so simple.

The map reading and SEQ were different for both papers, though. Except for the first mainstream SEQ they gave the FIRST pop. pyramid (Japan 1950s) and put "In 2050, Japan has an aging population..." in one of the latter questions.

That probably means I got at least one mark for the second question.

I did the questions on Population, Settlements, Agriculture and Land Reclamation.

Good thing I went around asking everyone what landfill was =D. I was writing my answer for that one in numbered format because I had so little time and didn't want to write "And then...", "Next...", and things like that.

I didn't dare check everything, so in the end I started writing my name on all the sheets of paper. Thanks Glenda for lending me her stapler!

Aha

@ 3:11 pm.

So my sister's birthday celebrations were today.

We went to Sushi Tei, then got her new earphones, then went to Swensen's for a surprise ice-cream cake.

We didn't finish it, so we brought it back with a few hundred pellets of dry ice.

And, since our parents went with brother for table tennis and we came back with our grandmother, we put some in a cup of water.

It was really beautiful.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY RACHEL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@ 12:02 am.

You're fifteen now. Congratulations!

I can't imagine myself ever being fourteen, let alone fifteen.

Come on, get with the programme

Trust

Friday, October 03, 2008 @ 10:17 pm.

I wonder what life would be like if we didn't trust anything.
Like we didn't trust if the things in the textbook were even going to be tested and studied last year's things instead
Or didn't trust the food we ate, whether it was poisoned.
Or didn't trust the air we breathe, which might be tainted.

Sometimes I think that everyone is out to get me.
When people give me M&Ms, or drinks, or things like that, I get scared that they're poisoned.
So I look around and see if anyone else is eating them, but I'll always end up eating it anyway.
Or maybe everyone's plotting to bring me down behind my back, whenever I'm not around.
Not to say nobody does that, but I thought that everyone in the world was doing it.

But we still breathe, and we still talk, and we still eat.
Because we have no other choice.

Remembering

@ 9:18 pm.

Ah.

When 2G breaks up, I will miss every single one of you.

I'm going to list one thing I remember about each of you. It doesn't necessarily mean that I'll remember you for it forever, but I will remember all of you.

Angelica
I remember turning around in my seat and looking at you at the back of the classroom. You were pointing at something and saying "Ha!".

Bernice
I will always always remember your Mercutio performance. You should really join Drama.

Jean
I remember watching you during ALOUD!, and I remember running up with Audrey and Carolyn to give you flowers and stuff.

Elizabeth Chan
This is rather random, but I remember Colette testing you on history definitions. (And also when we were doing the prank thing on Mrs Ng, you said "I have a bad feeling about this...")

Yan Yee
I remember during LA Paper 2, the entire column you were in was asleep, except you.

Charlotte
PBI FTW! Okay, I'm joking (I never use FTW, really!) Oh yeah, I remember you asking if you could borrow my "cords" =D

En Qi
I remember you in your black SM outfit for Drama Night 2007.

Zhi Lin
I remember the way you once said "Manga", with a rise and fall in the first syllable, so it's like "MAN-ga" or "m-AN-ga".

Ka Yi
I remember you practicing the funeral scene from Romeo and Juliet with Yun Hua, Shannon, and Zhi Lin, for some reason.

Claudia
I remember KAP, for one thing. You didn't want any fries.

Colette
I remember you testing Liz Chan on defintions, but I've already said that so... I remember Peter Answers.

Diana
HOT MILO

Eleanor
I remember you telling Jelly about quitting French =D

Glenda
I remember you discussing Be Yourself Day with the class, when things were getting out of hand. (And I also remember the birthday thing)

Elizabeth Goh
I usually come to school before you do, and every day out of the corner of my eye I see your blue bag as you come in.

Jerusha
Nurse performance. And, if it counts, the physics things last year.

Yun Hua
I remember standing behind you in the quadrangle after assembly was over. As in, I turned around.

Carmen
Currently I remember you half-hugging Zenn (or someone I suddenly can't remember) after the Geography test and saying "I'M GOING TO FAIL"

Christie
I remember you practicing Japanese with Yan Yee on the whiteboard before your oral exam. (and the birthday thing)

Ern Wei
I remember you giving me that Barrel-O-Slime (Thank you!!) and also at KAP, when you suddenly said "It's Glenda's birthday!"

Tze Shien
I remember asking you what you wrote for the compo paper, and you said "I wrote about basketball."

Rachew
I remember many things. Like being the Tybalt to your Romeo, and your awesome ASMness.

Rachel Lau
THANK YOU FOR THE PICKLE

Shannon
I remember you writing everyone's names on the board.

Carolyn
I remember you sitting in Jean's lap. Or was it leaning your head in her lap?

Audrey
I remember being at ALOUD! with you, talking about the various hair textures in class with Carolyn.

Zenn
I remember you patting me on the head on numerous occasions.

Miss Ng
I remember you in your cheongsam and plaits on Chinese New Year.

Mrs Lam
CONSERVATIVE

Mr Lim
"You change colour."

Lao Shi
I really like Ji Mi's books.

Mrs Ng
I remember us not being able to outtrick you. And I also remember what you said when you checked my last history test.

Mrs Tang
Watermelons are cucumbers?

Mrs Cheong
JAMES HERRIOT!

Mrs Hor
I remember you not being amused. =D

Mrs Tan
I Bring Clay For Our New House

Mrs Lim
Quieting down the Sec 3 girls... my sister was one of them ;D

Miss Su
My favourite games during PE this year were (pickleball) squash and touch rugby.

Mrs Chew
Your boyfriend, the M&M pirate.

Mrs Chan
How many jack-o-lanterns did you see?

Mr Ong
STONG (uh, ask my sister about this)

Mr Seow
No, I did not not want to watch Born into Brothels because of the vulgarities; it's because screening rated films for underaged people would be illegal and you'd need a consent form.

Mrs Ho
I LOVE SAMOSAS. And thank you for making the sandwiches for Drama Night 2008! Your daughter's really nice =D

Mr Tay
I wanted to make a papier-mache water droplet and dump several toothpick and plasticine molecules inside, but I didn't get you. I could still do it, though!

Mrs Pandian
Thanks a lot =). You helped me get 84.5 for History; that's an achievement!

Mrs Sim
I remember you on the SBC poster.

Mrs Tong
I remember you talking about how circling is not a proper oscillation.

Mrs Lim YY
I still remember your explanation for stalagmites and stalactites =D

Mrs Ng (Mui Eng)
ISO, Philosophy... what's not to remember?

Mrs Serena Chan
Heard you wanted to dye your hair pink at one point; is this true??

etc. etc. etc. I think I missed someone out. But I'll leave it as it is for the moment. Stay tuned for Remembering II if I post it

Today today today today today today today today today

Thursday, October 02, 2008 @ 7:51 pm.

Today there were no lessons. Just self-studying.

So I did, and I managed to cover ALL of my notes and ALL of Chapter 9 which I don't have notes for at the moment, despite spending most of Math being tortured by constipation.

So:

AN AMATEUR'S GUIDE TO SURVIVING CONSTIPATION DURING SCHOOL HOURS WHEN THERE ISN'T ANY LESSON GOING ON

So you're sitting in the classroom and you're trying to get some work done, and suddenly there's a pain in your lower abdomen (and you know it's constipation and not anything else). Not now! You think. If I don't finish this now I'll never be able to finish by the end of school!

This is what I recommend.

  1. Go to the toilet immediately. If you think it's going to go away and you want to wait it out go ahead, but if you don't take care of the problem now it's going to come back eventually.
  2. Arm yourself with a lot of toilet paper.
  3. The pain might increase exponentially as you get closer to the toilet. I think this is a psychological effect, although the moving itself might be causing it. More research needs to be done regarding this subject.
  4. It may be excruciatingly painful.
  5. Drink water or eat some fibre if you can. I don't know if it actually helps since going through the digestive system is a long process, but try.
  6. If you think nothing's going to be accomplished by sitting there and you've been sitting there for far too long, get up. Especially if you need to get back to class.
  7. If you feel the need to go to the toilet again, go.
  8. If anyone asks, tell him/her the truth. It does make sense.
  9. Pray. It helps.
  10. If you feel like you're peeing from your anus, it's completely normal. Your faeces usually become watery after clearing constipation.
  11. If it smells really foul, it's also normal.
  12. It's fine not to look into the bowl to see what happened. Unless you think something dropped in.
  13. Flush, and wash your hands well.
Okay, so on with the rest of my day.

During Math, I was talking with Zhi Lin on how fruits can help constipation (of course they can, but how quickly?), and suddenly I looked up and said "It's raining!"

Zhi Lin was bewildered on how I could change topics so fast.

By the time Chinese rolled around, I was outside with Rachew and Eleanor studying Geography. After a while Zhi Lin joined me.

When I was watching Zhi Lin coming back from the toilets, I suddenly saw lao shi standing outside the door staring at someone.

-gasp-

I watched Zhi Lin and Eleanor walk towards the benches where Carolyn, Charlotte and co. were.

She was still staring.

Carolyn hugged Zhi Lin.

She was still staring.

Zhi Lin came back.

Me: "Why is lao shi standing there staring at someone?"
Zhi Lin: "I don't know!"

Lao Shi started walking towards the bench.

Zhi Lin: "She's probably going to ask them what they're doing so far away from class."
Me: "Oh."
Zhi Lin: "She's probably going to say something like 'xiao peng you men, ni men zai zuo shen me?"

Recess. HH Meeting, but while we were off ordering food I skipped over to my sister's birthday celebration for a while(her friends were pissed that I skipped most of it but yeah)

LA. Barely anyone was really in class. Miss Ng came in and showed us a poem about Westminster (sp?) Abbey mocking hypocritical Christians. After that about half the class fled off to the library/outside. I stayed in class after pacing around for a little bit.

I studied. Jelly, Liz Goh, Tze Shien, Eleanor (I think), etc. were near my seat, and Carmen was trying to sleep in the back, so we were all annoying her><. Jelly was staring at her.

Then she put a DO NOT DISTURB sign over her glasses and tried to sleep.

But she got up and went to wash her face.

So I went with Jelly and Audrey to sit near Miss Ng, but she moved after a while.

So we followed her. She tried to drive us away.

Carmen and co. were throwing paper aeroplanes, so Audrey got some paper and we joined in.

We ended up throwing them at a target drawn on the whiteboard.

Carmen wants to use it as an NYAA skill.

We should start a paper aircraft club.

So after LA, we went to the com. lab, then went back for History.

Then I went to KAP with En Qi, Ern Wei, Diana, Claudia, Rachel Lau, and Shannon for some studying.

And yeah, that's it.

I'm more worried for Geography than History, in a way.

Sigh.
