THE REFLECTION CHAIR

So Zhi Xin, Tricia and I (with my sister but she went home first) trooped off to IKEA (Alexandra) after school to do a Racee for Drama. It was unexpectedly productive. We have around ten things on our list, from tables to cabinets and strange things with ridges on them.

So first, we went to buy hot dogs and soft drinks, then we sat down and ate them, then we hung around outside the store finishing the soft drinks and my sister went off mysteriously leaving her lunch container things with me (D<). Then we went on a grand tour around the store with the map thing, and we went everywhere from the bedrooms to the bathrooms.

Zhi Xin and Tricia were fantasising about moving out into the 55 sq. metre house that was on display with two of their friends (Tricia and the others would go to work while Zhi Xin would stay home and cook ^^). We went around there, and then we went back later.

And there was another thing:
ZX: Hey, look at this cute little chair!
T: Eh, it's like those chairs that little kids sit down in...
ZX: Yeah! And then it's like "Why did you do this! Sit down and reflect on what you did!"
[ZX sits down]
ZX: And then the chair will make this little squeak sound when you sit on it and then you'll be just sitting there and sulking...

[later, in the 55 sq m house (bedroom)]
T: And then we can put two bunks here, and two bunks there -- got a lot of space eh!
G: And then... [doubles over laughing]
T: Are you okay? What were you trying to say?
G: And then you can put four reflection chairs...
ZX: Oh yeah!!
G: And every night before bed you can all sit down on the chairs and reflect on the day.
ZX: Yeah, like when other people are having, like, quiet time and prayers we all sit down on the reflection chairs like THREE TWO ONE [sits]

[later, in the children's department, with a lot of small chairs]
G: Oh, I like this reflection chair!
ZX or T (I can't remember): Eh, do you prefer reflection chair or reflection stool?
G: Chair. Sounds nicer.

[later, in the restaurant]
ZX: Eh, I really want to move in! [or something to that effect]
G: [giggle] Reflection chair...
T: Can we leave out the part about the reflection chairs, please?

i'm not there yet
